Printer technology has advanced over the years from dot matrix printers to inkjet printers to laser printers and now there’s a whole new print technology available. Instead of relying on lasers for printing pages, Dell has unveiled printers that rely on LED.

These LED Printers can print colored documents or black and white. Their new LED printer is the Dell 1000 series. This series consists of small printers whose drum and fuser have been rated to function for the duration of the printer’s life. With this kind of durability, less printer maintenance would be required which in turn would mean less money spent on servicing it.
The Dell 1000 series includes the Dell 1250c which is the world’s smallest letter color laser printer. This printer can print up to 10 ppm (pages per minute) and uses 8% less energy then similar laser printers.
Another printer in this series includes the 1350cn/w that supports WiFi network connectivity and again, there is an emphasis on power consumption with this specific model consuming 11% less then similar devices on the market.
The last model in this lineup is the 1355cn/w and it’s classified for now as the world’s smallest 4 in 1 multi-function laser printer. It comes with a colored print speed of 12 ppm, network support and WiFi like the 1350cn/w.
Both the 1250c and the 1250cnw are available today with the 1250c retailing for $229 while the 1350cnw sells for $329. The 1355cn/w will go on sale next month. Without WiFi support, this model will sell for $339 whereas with WiFi support, you’re looking at $449.
