Printer Firm Dell Expand Its IT Storage And Networking Portfolio

Computer and printer firm Dell has expanded it networking and storage range of devices on off to small and medium business owners. Furthermore, the company claims its new products will help firms benefit from a higher performing and flexible IT system.

Dell's new PowerConnect M8024-k Ethernet blade will help streamline business networks and reduce their operating costs, the manufacturer stated. Dario Zamarian, vice president and general manager at Dell Networking, said: "With ever-increasing user demands, enterprises are looking to manage growth by scaling bandwidth and delivering more virtualised services."

He added that the new technology provides companies with a seamless scalability and a much more efficient system. Recently, Dell announced that it had stopped over 68 million kilograms of its electrical products, including computers, printers, monitors and accessories from going to landfill sites in the last year. Furthermore, it recorded an increase of 16 per cent in its recycling programme, and wants to reduce one billion pounds worth of e-waste by 2014.
